Coordinator, Member Relations
The Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) is looking to immediately fill the position of Coordinator, Member Relations. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. This position provides customer service to BIPAC member organizations related to their grassroots, PAC and other advocacy efforts by fostering relationships, completing requests, and managing member projects (websites, databases, design work, etc.). Projects focus on developing the resources necessary to conduct employer-to-employee and association-to-member grassroots, GOTV, government relations, and PAC efforts. The Coordinator, Member Relations is the primary front-end contact for assigned members and must be able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: Respond quickly, efficiently, professionally, and accurately to all technical and design requests from BIPAC members. Coordinate with IT and design teams to manage all website, design, and troubleshooting projects. Conduct new member trainings on how to use the BIPAC website administration system and suggest ways BIPAC services can work for members’ programs. Maintain and update BIPAC member websites by: updating site content, coordinating and troubleshooting issues, suggesting ways to improve the site, etc. Support other department projects and team members as needed. The candidate will be proactive and driven, willing to exceed expectations. Reports to Director, Member Relations.
Education and Experience: A bachelor degree or equivalent is required. Applicants with professional or academic experience or demonstrated interest in political science, government affairs, and similar fields are preferred, but not required. At least one year of professional experience is strongly encouraged. Customer service experience is required.
Skill Requirements: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills. High level of organization and attention to detail are a must. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Applicant should be very proactive. Professional attitude and interest in the political process. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Basic to advanced HTML knowledge is helpful but not required. Applicant must pick up new technical skills quickly and display a willingness to learn new things.

Intern, Member Relations
The Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) is looking for a motivated, organized student or recent graduate who can work at least 20 hours or 3 days per week. The Intern, Member Relations works with the Member Relations Team on projects involving communication and content development, website updates and management, research, and administrative support. In this role, the intern will learn about the tools and resources necessary to support the advocacy and PAC efforts of member corporations and associations. Projects will focus on website updates for member organizations, developing educational resources for government affairs professionals, researching advocacy and PAC topics, and supporting the team on other projects as needed.
- Support the Member Relations team with advocacy and PAC member initiatives and projects.
- Assist with updating member websites.
- Help to develop member content including samples, primers, and toolkits.
- Research changing trends in advocacy, get out the vote, and PAC programs.
- Provide administrative support and assist with other assignments as needed.
Education and Experience: Applicant must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program.
Skill Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high level of organization and attention to detail is required. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to multitask and to work independently as well as collaboratively. Professional attitude and an interest in the political process and corporate/association government relations. Ability to manage long and short-term projects.
Compensation: BIPAC internships can be used for course credit but are unpaid. Metro benefits are provided.
